I'm no expert, but it looks real enough to me. Why do you doubt it's authentic? Send Gail at Schott an email, she can tell you for sure.

I don't know, probably because it is a old stock (According to seller), and I never have schott. I did chat with one of expert in Schott but she can only confirm the style and refuse to make any conclusion about authenticity.

Well, it's a gift to my father, if it's my jacket I won't care.

Leather looks the same as one Schott I had. And that I’m pretty sure was original ;)

Mine is a little different from yours as mine has the label in the body of the jacket. I think a label is also in the liner.

Over the years mine has developed quite a bit of patina from hours on the motorcycle. It isn't my favorited MC jacket, but it gets the most wear because it takes up little room In the saddle bag when I take it off as the day warms.

This is the one that shrank from being out in the dew one night and a little light misting on a ride one day. The sleeves and the torso are both probably too short for me now. My wrists are exposed and the jacket hits just above my belt. It is labeled a 46 but fit more like a 42 when I got it. It is now probably a size 40, so it shrank one full size.

I don't know if this helps, but Roselle, NJ (on the label) is right next to Elizabeth, which is where the jackets are made. It's where I grew up.
