You will never have to worry about a Hillside Jacket holding up.....the quality is top shelf in every respect. My choices came down to Hillside of Fox Creek. Both make a great jacket, but Hillside had a much better selection, and more leather choices. FYI, Covid-19 was hard on the folks at Hillside (in a business respect)....they are just getting back up to speed. My experience with their customer support team was great. For what it's worth, I have friends with Fox Creek jackets....all but one prefers my Hillside bison jacket......but comparing bison to cow hide is not exactly apples to apples (bison is supple, very tough, heavy, and has a great pebbly texture). It really comes down to what you are looking for.....quality will not be an issue with either.

Mid 60's this morning. Going for a ride, will get into 80's midday.
After my daily reading of The Lounge.
I went through my stack of black leather jackets and came up with the Hillside CR. Thought I'd share.
Haven' t worn it in more than year, has the new leather smell.
I like the midweight horsehide, but not on same level as Aero Horse.

How are you finding your Hillside horsehide? I recently came across them and found their horsehide CR affordable. I know they are not Aero or Schott, but would you recommend it?

I think the Company is Great. Great Customer Service. You can request heaver leather and what Zippers and Snaps you like. I don’t own any of their jackets now but I would buy from them over Fox Leather.
There is a Horsehide Cafe Racer in Horsehide for sale on E Bay now. Looks very nice.

Yes, I found the brand on eBay while looking for horsehide CRs. But that's not my size unfortunately

The CR horse in picture is medium weight compared to my regular Vanson jackets, kind of spongy like a lot of Schott jacket I’ve handled. The build is of good quality. I think CR style Jackets should be of a medium weight leather.
What size you looking for? Mine in picture is like new with optional liner. Fits like a large. As I recall 19” shoulder, 23” pit to pit, 26” arm. I can take pictures and remeasure if interested $270 +$30 shipping lower 48 states. I can do PayPal.

Very heavy, real good looking jacket, size 48 a hair large on me, measurement on different models are slightly different. Bison half belt

Here are more pics, I added an xtra snap to lapel to keep tight when zipped all the way up for Ohio cold weather riding. Also just purchased a horsehide size 46 used, like new, cafe jacket from hillside USA, in black. Slightly smaller 48-46. On hillside website the 2 different styles are slightly different in size for the same size ,different cut

This is a new one for me. Nice prices, made in USA and seemingly a quality product as well.
