A real beauty, Stefan.

Borsalino Landasca 40 1/2 homburg in Dattero colour. Size 56 with the bound brim at 6cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Dattero is such a great colour that I had to buy this one. It is very soft, which is unexpected for a homburg, and has a lovely hand to the felt.

Anton Peschel Dinkelsbühl "Diplomat" "Reiner Haarhut" "Tornado", 58 cm possibly late 1950s. The Smooth Finish Gray (Dural) Felt is of medium weight and easily dry creases. A mid width Band with a sharp looking Bow design.

A beauty, Steve! Love the contrasting light grey binding.

@panos: Do I remember correctly, that you found a very similar grey one with 'Tornado' logo at the sweat but no makers label, that I got for you?

An old Adam LongPremier.
Anyone know the story with the “Long” line of hats? I’m a fan of Adam hats and have seen many of these Long branded hats, but never knew their significance, or hierarchy.
The felt of this hat feels of high quality. View attachment 475568 View attachment 475567
Beautiful looking homburg, Randall. Classic lines and quality finishing by the looks of it.

Thanks, Stefan and Steve. The felt seems just a smidge better in felt quality then this Adam Executive that I’ve had for a long while.
And on the outside appear to have been made on the same day by the same hands…

I think Matt is referring to this "Torero"
I only have the auction pics from Matt

It came with a Mayser homburg of same size, could also be German etc. I'll need to check for additional clues if any.
Panos, Thank you! I don't believe I have seen the "Torero" brand before. The band and binding material type is interesting.

Yes, of course you're right, Panos: I meant this TORERO! But with TORNADO I was at least close (oh man, I should probably drink less and eat more vegetables to stay mentally fitter).

One of the hats bought in 2022 left waiting to be shown to fellow FL.
HOMCafro 6.jpg

It is a particular hat for the Italian market due to its shape and colour
HOMCafro 8a.jpg
Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore size 6 French point, 59 cm. EU or 7 3/8 in US.
HOMCafro B.jpg

The shape is that of a lobbia or homburg with the brims curled and short, without a ribbon to edge them. What is called Lord hat often here. The ribbon is the same color as the felt.
HOMCafro Etichetta carta.jpg
Gulaela is the type in the Borsalino denomination, Cafro is the color indicated, but it is particularly reddish compared to a Borsalino of the same color that I wore a few weeks ago. Borsalino mysteries.
HOMCafro 1.jpg
The hat is very light and above all particularly well preserved.
HOMCafro C.jpg
Measurements are: the brim at 5cm, the ribbon at 4cm and the open crown at 13.5cm.
This is one of my favorites in the Borsalino collection, without a doubt
