Mossant unlined homburg in brown grey. Size 56 with the brim at 5,5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Looks unworn and is quite lightweight for a homburg at 116 grams. It has a textured sweatband, which makes me think it is reasonably early, forties likely.

Barbisio Titan in a dark brown colour called Maia. Size 57 with the brim at 6,5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. I own another one of these in a size 55 from the M. Hutter deadstock collection. I rarely wear that one because it's just too small. I expect to wear this one a lot more. Weighs 156 grams and has a great hand to the felt.

Anton Peschel Dinkelsbühl "Norma", 57 cm, possibly late 1950s. The Black Felt has very nice Finish and Soft Hand. Shown here without Side Dents. I like that Anton Peschel Dinkelsbühl used a narrower Brim Binding on some of their Homburg Hats. The overall condition is excellent.

Great Peschel find, Steve.

They're not often out there. Nice to see that they're still to be found.

Echter Borsalino homburg in a grey colour called Argento. Model is a new one called Sanvulcan. Size is 59 or 60 depending on which of the labels you choose to believe. Unlined with the bound brim at 6cm and the crown at a generous 12cm at the center dent.
This one is one of the early ones before 1936. I was hoping for a date inside the sweatband (which the German ones often have), but alas. In as good a condition as can be hoped for for a hat this age and being shipped in an envelope! But what a thing.

Bellissimo. Maybe I have some other, but not in Argento. I have to check :)

Dobesch Wien "Novo", 58 cm, possibly mid to late 1950s. Dobesch Wien are not so common and are of high quality so I was very much happy to find this Homburg. The Brown (shade very much changes based on light source) Felt has a well executed Finish and is pliable but i kept the small front Side Dents. This is how Homburgs were often worn in Germany and Austria. Its wider Brim and taller Crown makes it really stand out. The seller was from Germany but there is no store / shop marks so possibly purchased at one of Dobesch's retail outlets in Vienna.

I don't wear them often but I do love those brown tone hats.

Marke Greif - Vauka (Vatter & Kaltenbach & Co. Frankfurt am Main), "Homburg Opal", 57 cm possibly late 1950s early 1960s. Vauka was a Distributor - Wholesalers that goes back to at least the 1930s. Vauka was a distributor of Rockel Alsfeld Hats in 1930s but based on the components and workmanship it's highly possible that this Homburg Hat was made by Anton Peschel Dinkelsbühl. It has a nice looking lower profile Form and the Black Felt has a fine Smooth Finish. It also has a medium width Band and a Wind Cord. This is my first Marke Greif - Vauka Soft Felt.
