"The Home Front: War Years in Britain, 1939-1945" by Susan Briggs is one that I liked. This book is out of print, but you might be able to find a copy online through eBay or AdAll.com.
"We Knew We Were at War: Women Remember WWII" by Margaret "Peg" George is an interesting compilation of first person memoirs of the homefront in the US and England (and a couple from Germany as well). It's available on Amazon.
If you're in eastern PA on November 13th, Peg George and Lillian Abele (a Brit who survived the London Blitz) will be giving a talk on this very subject. PM me for more info.
