How to protect RMC Shinki raw sienna?

Actually no, Shinki offers their Standard HH in an uncoated (nume leather) variant, below on the left. It is matte, dry, and uncoated:

Correct. My mistake at clumsily wording this claim, instead of saying that I personally had never seen a commercial leather garment made from leather by Shinki that was straight up suagekawa.
These samples are beautiful.

If i drop one greasy chip on it - I’ll make sure to drop a few more evenly distributed chips to mess it up evenly

One other point - If even the manufacturer themselves warn you about avoiding stains, you can imagine what applying a nastiest mixture of oils, waxes and grease will make the jacket look like. You would have to spread the sludge perfectly evenly across the jacket not to have it full of stains of different shapes, shade and texture. Not to mention that the jacket will end up being a good few shades darker.

Yeah I've darkened a few jackets successfully with neatsfoot oil.

I just ordered it so I'll report back :)

I have a real McCoy Vest in the raw sienna. It’s suede or rough out so of course it’s going to stain. Mine has tons of indigo staining where it rubbed my jeans. It honestly looks incredible and was part of the patina of the jacket. Embrace it. Rough out is made to stain and patina line a mf.

Oh no - raw and suede, my 2 worst nightmares

Did you really not care when you got the first stains? Or did you convince yourself afterwards that it’s too late now so you may as well embrace it?

I got the vest basically new for half price and it’s a very loud piece, hard to really pull off so I was trying to beat the **** out of it to break it in and tone it down. It lived in my pickup truck for a year as a backup jacket in case I broke down. I’ve embraced all the crocking and stains it just looks better the more I beat it up.

This is not a “safe” leather.

It will darken.
It will mark.
It will show wear immediately.

And that’s exactly why it’s special.
Source (applicable to undyed leather)

Love it. I love having expensive things with no labels and throwing them around so no one would know )

I like to throw my jackets around rather than molly coddle them - but I really want to try this one.

This sounds like the perfect wrong jacket for you, like a train wreck girlfriend that you know is going to end in a dramatic explosion. The underlying aspect is that the guys that buy these want the story the jacket tells to be their own. Resale will take a ding.

Yeah I’m a stickler for resale.value.
As someone with ADHD - “the best jacket I’ve ever owned and is an absolute keeper after years of trying to find” ….. is a phrase that will usually need to reconsidered at some point future.
Had I not been careful, my 100++ leather jackets over the years would have financially ruined me

I just bought back one of my “keepers” that I sold 10 years ago. Paid double what I sold it for, and am hoping the older wiser me won’t be so stupid to let it go again!!
