Yeah, I remember that. Hughes was a definite nut job. There's another story that he was brought in to Las Vegas on a gurney and was holed up in that penthouse on, I think, it was The Sands.

The Wynn Las Vegas is built on the Desert Inn site. At least the golf course is still there, and in the restaurant overlooking the greens there's a cool golf ball slot machine.
