Any Dragnet fans out there? Sure, the color ones from the '60s are very watchable, what with their "Joe vs. the dirty hippies" attitude, but the black-and-white originals are some fine examples of film noir. And hats.

Love the hats! Most of them seem to have been bashed by hand, and it's always fun to observe genuine hat wearers handle their gear: pinches are grabbed, brims are turned down harshly... not much babying going on. Of course, these are all hardboiled detective types so you'd expect nothing less.

And the "vintage" hats were a LOT more plentiful.

I like watching the old television shows and B-crime films. The low budget aspects are reflected in the costumes that look very "everyday man/woman."
I can do without the costume pieces.:)
