I found these insane jackets on the Simmons Facebook page.

I'm discussing with Debs on a jacket too and best of all I can get a made to measure or full custom jacket from them.

I have a Schott leather peacoat in 44". My "go to" in our "winter" here in Perth Western Australia.
My brother in Tasmania , (I am in Western Australia), also has the same black leatherl peacoat by Schott.
For the money they are wonderful. ( I have several other Schott jackets and I REALLY like the brand myself !)
They are cut "big" obviously for layering in cooler climes. Tasmania is way cooler than Western Australia.

I have a RebelStoke Peacoat. A 3.5-4.0 oz Black FQHH with a semi-aniline finish. Rebelstoke, a Canadian company, went out of business rather quickly, after only a few years of operation.

I own two brown peacoats from the Schott brand. One to be worn fitted and one for layering. The difference in grain between the two models is astonishing. And of course, I love them both.

Thanks for posting these pics - It's great to see them. I've been looking for a leather peacoat for some time and just can't find the right pics. I'm unsure about sizing.... Do I want it fitted or to wear over a thick jumper or even a looser jacket..... Can you wear these out and about in the rain and snow? Do they hold up?

Hello ! Well, in mid-season that's not too cold, I like to wear the more fitted model with a shirt or simply a t-shirt. The layering version (just one size larger) is more logical with this type of clothing. And yes, if we respect the precautions after use in rain or snow, it remains a perfect coat even if it does not have a large lining.

I own a brown leather peacoat from Schott USA too which must be around 30 years old. It is a super robust coat. Like many of Schott Jackets, the fact that so many of them from 40 or 30 years old are still around in very decent condition is a testament to the durability of Schott jackets. But this leather peacoat is not the warmest jacket ever. It is not as warm as the wool Schott peacoat for instance.

I own a 38 that is my size, and it is great for a autumn/winter jacket that you may want to layer under. I Can wear a 36 too, it will be slim but still confortable and wearable.

One of the good point is that many of them are available second hand very easily for reasonable prices (around 200 €-300 € in France for instance).
