I am an independent filmmaker, and want to do a classic pulpy, 50's era werewolf film for my next project.

I have a couple of ideas floating around but was wondering if any of you know of any good werewolf books from the 50's/60's in the pulp genre.

Thanks!

"Werewolf" was a popular newspaper reporters' term for fiendish killers (particularly of ladies). Indeed the Elizabeth Short Murder took place this day 61 years ago and was originally referred to as a werewolf slaying before the "Dahlia" tag was used.

So, are you referring to the animal wereworf or the human kind?

Guy Endore wrote movies too. Good luck getting a copy.

Believe it or not, I have a copy of that book. Unfortunately, it's a period piece and would be too expensive to make, even if I could get the rights.

Yeah, recreating the Terror can be pricey. ;)

One I can remember is "The Compleat Werewolf", a short story by the great Anthony Boucher. It seems I've read others but can't remenber them.

Sincerely,
