Moved topics link issue

Say, I don't know where to put this - questions about the forum itself.

I note when a topic gets moved, and the moderator leaves a shadow copy behind, it has a link. However, each time I've tried to follow that link (to go to wherever the topic has moved to), I get a permissions error.

Is this something others get as well? Is it just a problem with the boards implementation of shadow copy? Perhaps it only happens with certain conditions (moved to a non-general forum?)

Well....

The posts I have moved, the links left behind have worked fine. I dont know if there is a time limit on the link. Thats all I know.

I have had this problem before, but I disremember which thread it was. I just assumed it was a one time fluke...

Well, the reciently moved "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" thread that got moved works for me. So, perhaps it's just old threads.

I've found I tend to get the following message:

Tango Yankee, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I got the above when I clicked on a thread in the Hats forum. I've gotten it before on other moved links. Don't think I've ever successfully clicked on a moved link.
