I'm holding at 4 trucker jackets. That Aero is very nice. Love that lining.

Mitchell’s pictures are making me change my mind about these leather truckers. I can see why a well-made one commands a higher price. They seem to age as nice as any other great leather jacket.

There’s a small company out of japan that are selling Horsehide denim styles called Fine Creek. Their website is very low profile so it’s best to do a google image search. The way these age is truly remarkable. I think they are using Shinki leather

For someone who has brought a Type III from Aero, what's the sizing on these? Are they slim fit or more boxy like a highwayman? (I ask because I'm considering buying true-to-size or one size smaller)

Chevignon makes some really nice stuff though. Search around this site and you’ll find some real beauties. One that Monitor posted a while back, police-type jacket if I recall correctly, I’d take over any Vicenza jacket. But I like heavier jackets.
I remember when Avirex started producing all those distressed non authentic A2s and G1s and college jackets, eventually they disappeared in the late 1980s. All the ex Avirex stores in London then started to stock some very similar stuff, especially the non military leathers with fancy patches and probably non existing college names under the Chevignon name and then it went on to Redskins with an Indian warrior motif. I just wondered were they just an outlet for Avirex based names? The latest name in the faux military designs are named Aviatrix. Not necessarily made for female fans of aviation equipment nearly all the designs are aimed at the male figure and style.

Lovely jacket but you need to size down. It is essential.

I can barely button it as a 42. That, to me, is the right size. It appears somewhat boxy here, because it needs breaking in.

As mentioned, I am normally a 44 and got a 42 here - per Carrie’s advice - she was spot-on.

the armpit fit and waist are also snug - I wouldn’t want them any tighter.

One week update - I wear this 8 hours a day at work for break-in

The torso is starting to soften and move with me - it’s becoming like a friend

I honestly get 10-15 compliments a day when wearing this - something I’m not used to.

nice breaking in collar already taking in very nice shape, I think unbuttoning the lowest button is better in this style, so the waist doesn't roll like that when you sit. congrats
