    Thanks simonc.

These are two of the pictures I sent Mark to explain what I wanted. He hadn't seen an original jacket, just made it using the images. Pretty impressive!

Both are scans from the excellent Rin Tanaka books.

Deluxe, thx! I gotta admit it was pictures of your jacket that John posted on VEB that pushed me towards buying one. Good lookin, man! (Btw- yours is looking great:))

  4. Wonderful design and great work,Mark..!!
I see some unique styles on the horizon..rather than the latest jacket companies copying the older new jacket makers.

Interesting DS. What I see is the possibilities for a good block built angle zipper jacket, one thing I have noted is the beauty of the larger lapel with a fitted body. I'm thinking russet. Hmm good stuff guys.

Mark made this too. It's Goatskin and a mid russet colour with hand dyed seal brown two tone.

Again the front D-pocket and two tone colour details were taken from pictures of original jackets.

Beautiful skin! The grain has some character already.

A pair of matching boots would be great.

Great jacket! Is that a Capri Bell on the pocket pull?

Thanks John. Yes well spotted it's a Capri Bell. Riding around town you need all the luck you can get!

    That is a stunner!

If I was in the market for a new leather jacket, Mark would be the first person I'd be talking to.

Anyone have any other details? The blog is very sparse. General cost/lead time etc? I have a German biker jacket design I desperately want replicated, but am pretty scared of the cost, but from the pics posted here, this fellow looks to be the one to talk to.

I'll get some pictures of me wearing both this weekend promise.

Novos I'd recommend contacting Mark directly with your ideas.

  19. Yep. Send Mark an email. He can fill you in on cost and timing. He raised his prices recently....not sure if he has different prices for different designs/leathers.
Re; timing.......for mine, generally ran around 6-12 weeks. He's a one man operation. May still be part time. Really depends on how busy he is.
