Neat picture.

It is an absolute shame what happened to this thread because of photobucket being complete garbage
There has to be something that can be done ... this thread is far too valuable to let decay
Anyone ???
This has been happening with a LOT of great threads.......I agree...it really is a shame. AND this is still happening even with new posts.......As you and I know, people can post here directly....(though I am not sure how long those photos last) but MANY do not seem to know this.............perhaps some new information or alerts from the administrators would help.....

My hard drive is hosting all of my photos now. My flickr account also keeps them around. I had a photobucket account years ago but let it lapse. As long as I'm alive, my images will live on in the posts.

I still advocate directly uploading photos to the FL. That way, they're stored on the local servers and not subject to the whims of hosting companies or the Members. This si especially true of historical documentation, like this thread.

In the third ad down, the Stetson Aviator. Was that the Stratoliner's predecessor?
It's interesting seeing the evolution of some of the well known hats over time, like the Flagship and Stetsonian, as well as hats that have been completely unknown to me.

When I find them on Ebay or Google, I save them to my hard drive. They always come in handy for discussion here.
