This is a vintage, thin ribbon, Dobbs Twenty that I picked up some years ago from an antique store here in town. It's a larger, hard to find, size 7 1/2. It's a really nice feeling, lightweight, felt. I've handled a few hats that were made before they stopped using mercury in the felting process and this feels very similar if not the same as those so, I would venture a guess that this is either from the early 1940s or late 1930s. But, that's just a guess.
Now, the kicker is that it has a few moth bites but, none of them go all the way through the felt so, they could potentially be fixed if you wanted to take the time. The liner was gone when I bought the hat. It's definitely still a great hat though with plenty of wear left if you want something casual and aren't put off by a couple of imperfections.
If this was in better shape I'd be asking considerably more, since it's a hard to find size, but given the few issues it has, I'm only going to ask $75 for this one.
