Kill joy scientists say it is probably the remains of ripples in fine sand sediments that have been eroded over millions of years.

A non-scientist responds: Either that or it’s the fossilized remains of a big fish that used to swim in the long vanished oceans of the red planet!

I don’t know which one of those options requires a greater stretch of the imagination.

The 1970’s story of President Richard Nixon taking Jackie Gleason to Wright Pat AFB after a golf outing & a lot of drinking can’t really be documented. Gleason’s personal calendar does prove the golf outing with Nixon. The source for the Wright Pat trip was Gleason’s wife at the time. She first disclosed in an interview what Gleason allegedly told her. After their later divorce she supposedly wrote a tell-all book which Gleason paid her not to publish for various reasons. It is true that not long after the alleged trip to Wright Pat is when Gleason built his now famous UFO house which recently came on the market for the first time since his death,

Interesting that I remember it as being Wright Pat. I had forgotten but do remember now that Gleason had told Larry Warren. Maybe that was just or damage control, just to leak out?

Being an old Warhawk I’ve always wondered if the Goldwater story wasn’t just plausible denial? Especially since Goldwater was a BG in the AF & if he was denied entry by Gen Curtis Lemay.

It does seem suspicious though that around that time Mr. Gleason had learned to so easily defeat gravity.

Okay, we know that it is true that, regarding UFOs, a whistleblower protection law has been signed and is in effect.
So, I guess we have been hanging around wondering if any whistleblowers would actually step forward.
Apparently, the answer is “yes”. Six of them so far. Allegedly.

This is the first news of it, so we will have to see if this story has legs or gains traction. Or eventually is verified.

I will say that, although many of the sources quoted sound credible on paper, they are also among the “usual suspects” who are constantly quoted in ufo stories. Not all of them, but many of them. And their claims are mostly hearsay so far.

Although, yes, there are some new names too, and the congressional hearings are real enough. As ever, proceed with caution!

BTW, last weeks meeting at Wright Patterson is also mentioned in the Daily Mail article. Also discusses the Wilson-Davis Memo at length.
