Any ideas what year this thing is? I'm thinking it's from the 60's

It's go a 2 1/4" brim

Sometimes I flip the sweatband out to see any clues underneath...be careful though--my Walton's sweat was fragile and the old cracks got worse. It was retailed at $9 so I figured it was older than it looked.
Love the shape and classic color scheme. Could very well be vintage '60s but really looks to be well preserved if it is. I searched Shatz bros. and it looks like they may have closed in '61 but please don't quote me on that.
Nice to contain real beaver, too. If it fits well, I would judge it to be a real solid lid in your stable of hats since gray matches almost anything.

2 new Knox hats arrived yesterday. Sizes 7 3/4 and 7 5/8. This style of hat is hard to find in these sizes so I was very happy to find these.

The first hat is a size 7 5/8 Knox Premier with a blue logo in the top of the crown (any info on dating or quality level of this would be appreciated)

Carpet cleaning--steaming out all the lines and wrinkles from their being compressed in a stack for the voyage from Germany. Still damp here.

Thanks Brad, Is it the interior labels that you use to figure the dating?

RLK: That's quite a haul! Are those truly blue toned as they appear in the photos?

They'll look blue when they reflect the light outside, especially when shaded. They are each a different level of darkness of a neutral silver/gray. The head shot is a more neutral representation. The other two are 56cm. each.
