if you wear it on St Paddy's day you could fill the brim with green beer and make a fountain :)
all kidding aside though that's an impressive hat

Got my second hat. It's an Akubra Federation IV (not the deluxe) in Moonstone. It's a little loose and I hope that it will shrink with a little wear and heat.

...

Very nice! My Akubras have started out a little loose and after wearing awhile conform to my head just fine.

I have found the PERFECT winter hat! My Basque Beret I got from Daan Kolthof @ http://www.southpacificberets.com/ :) It's an Elosequi Basica in a nice soft, warm wool lined as well !! :) My fathers family (and him) were Quebecois and came to Quebec back in the 1600's from the Basque region of France. I guess I'm getting back to some roots with this one !! (I'm first generation born in U.S.)

Those are some very nice hats. My favorite one is the second one. Congratulations on your new hat.

Also pictured is my Fed IV Deluxe, Indy with LC Bash....I used JtL's Teardrop Workshop to bash this new hat. Thanks for making that JtL!

You're most welcome, Sulla. It's nice to know that folks find that thread helpful. Looks like you're getting the hang of it right off the bat! Nice job. :)

Cheers,
JtL

My new hat just arrived in time for the holiday!

70% mink and 30% beaver. This hat was made by Gary White "The Custom Hatter". It is VERY lightweight. The felt is 2-3 oz. The color is Light Sand, but it looks more like a very light heather to me. This fedora is very difficult to photograph. The flash makes it appear more gray.
