My new arrivals. I will post each hat individually later, as it is 1:43 a.m.
I just returned from the airport.

Closest to the camera in the first picture are the Hückel Clipper and Borsalino Marque Grand Luxe from Steven and Bowen.
I can't thank them enough.

The last picture is of my favorite fossil. I can't resist showing a picture of that as well.

Speachless on the hats!!
But i will say “That be some big Whoop-T-Do!!!
Fossils..the smaller curly one is an Ammonoid, not sure of the species. The larger one looks like it might be one unfurling to perform some ritualistic act. Idk

Wow, Max! You're collecting these hats like there's no tomorrow. I've had a few hauls in my collecting period, but nothing remotely like this. I'm looking forward to seeing them all individually.

Here are six new acquisitions and one that I believe I posted about several months ago (BOP).

L-R, clockwise from lower left: Burgundy/brown Royal Stetson w/overwelt, Beaver hats 'Major', Mallory 'The Dallas' OR-style, 7 1/2 Akubra 'Bushman', 1910 Stetson Boss of the Plains Fray, 1930's Mitchell, and in the middle a 7 1/2 LO Stetson Playboy.

I spotted the Playboy in the window of a store, being used in a display. Somehow I looked at about twenty hats and quite a bit of clothing before finally asking if I could take a look at the hat in the window. Now I have the self-control to do anything!

The hats are spectacular; hats in those larger sizes are breathtaking! Way to go! Hoping for individual photos too.

Thing is, living in Mexico, if I asked for every hat to be delivered by Fedex, which is the only trustworthy carrier here, I would have to pay more than 100 dollars per package, and then pay about 30% tax when it arrived.
The Moonhaul was a great opportunity, and I had to get as many as I could. This haul was because my sister in law and her family were going to visit her brother in Texas, so they had the right with Mexican customs to bring several hats each. Daniele sent me nine great hats from la bella Italia, and the rest I had to order quickly, before my sister in law returned.

I will be going on my anual fishing trip to Wisconsin in a couple of weeks, and don't foresee anyone else coming to Mexico I can ask to bring my hat orders to me, so there will be a long hiatus in my hat-buying after that.

Thanks all. The big hats were a 'huge' :) surprise find. I have been scrubbing, steaming, conditioning sweatbands, brushing, measuring, etc.,...literally all morning. I will take some individual photos over the next few days as I decide how to crease them and which ones fit.

I like my longhairs, but I prefer them less fluffy, Brent. Nice proportions on this hat. If you need the longhair to lie more flat, you could use a velvet cloth or cushion to smooth it out (like they do with top hats).

Since it's rabbit fur, could you use a hare brush?

Sorry, that joke popped into my mind and I didn't want to be tortured by it alone. :D

Tawny Fawn Akubra Fed IV with a 3 second bash- work in progress

That's Tawny Fawn? I would never have guessed because the color in that photo looks nothing like my Tawny Fawn Fed IV. On the other hand, we're having a discussion in the I love the Fed IV!! thread about the various ways hat colors photograph, so what do I know? :p
