You clearly aren’t from California or you’d know you aren’t allowed to ask that. I think Marcel’s nails are very pretty. ;)

I hope not!!

Well, there's always the possibility he's a MLB catcher.

Bonar-Phelps 10X with 5 1/2” open crown and 2 5/8” bound edge brim. The felt isn’t great, but it is reasonably thin. The sweatband feels cheap and like it would easily tear. I’m listing this on eBay with the goal of just recouping my costs.

After receiving the hat, I no longer suspect that it’s part of the Beaver Brand family, but I could be wrong.

In the "pros" column, it looks great! On the down side, in the "cons" column there's that "genuine imported fur" thing. Could have been a decent "work/casual wear" hat if it was an adult size. ;)

Yep, lots of great hats in kid’s sizes.

I listed it on eBay and it sold in just a couple of hours. I’m glad that I got to experience a new-to-me brand, but even if it had fit me I was not a hat to get excited about.

A 1960s 3X OR with a few moth nibbles and a couple scuffs but otherwise perfect. I love this hat—my other OR has a 2 7/8 brim and this is 2 3/4. That 1/8 makes all the difference—this is really the max that I’m comfortable with, at least for walking around NYC.

Enjoy the day!

Nice find and a lovely hat, David. I recognize that feeling that the wider brims feel a bit out of place in a city environment.

Picked this one up yesterday, from Buckaroo Hatters in Covington Tn. 100% beaver in Navy Blue.
( thanks for the idea Brent, @deadlyhandsome )
Never thought I’d like a blue hat, but it turned out well to me. Was trying to copy the old Stetson Big Four.
Edit, I forgot to give dimensions, it came out just shy of 6” crown, and also just shy of 4” brim after the curl.
