Thanks. I figured some Lounge folks were watching or bidding on this hat and wondering if a Lounge person got it.

Huckel Sigma Oronzo (sp)
Thick Brown/Green Loden Velour
Approx 5 inch crown as shaped
1 1/4 self felted hat band
1 1/2 raw edge brim

Another hat from Stefan’s @steur magical mystery care package. And a true addition to Stingyville. This one a Huckel velour in a dark Loden (Brown/Green). A bit of tyrolean-esque styling on this one. A very tapered crown that surprisingly reaches about 5 inches in height as shaped and a super stingy 1 1/2 raw edge brim. It has an interesting self felted ribbon/hatband. The fancy metal Huckel logo size tag on the sweat band is a very nice touch. The felt is very thick with fairly deep nap on both sides of the felt. It appears to have been originally sold in a French hat store Adam Le Chapelier de L’elite (hatter to the elite) or at least that is what is on the sweatband imprint.

It would work for Oktoberfest for sure, Joe. The quality of that felt is Hückel at its finest.

Just picked this one up.
It's in excellent shape! The felt is flawless - soft and gorgeous. It's much nicer than other fuzzy hats I've owned.

Unfortunately, I'm probably going to re-sell this one... I wish that I could keep it, but I've never been able to wear this style of hat. The overall size is just too stingy for my profile.
I may wear it a few times on these evenings when I walk over to my local cocktail hole. Based on the vibe I'm getting from it, it's probably familiar with such a lifestyle. Maybe after a couple of Gin Rickeys it will fit my profile a little better...

R. & M. Wegener "Extra 9", 57 cm possibly later 1950s. The Gray Felt has a great Smooth Finish and with contrasting black Bow and light gray Brim Binding. The overall quality and condition are excellent.

I have slimmed down to one or two new hats a year... but this gray heather derby, suggested by a good hat friend, made me hit the button. From the imperfect but suggestive LOTXXXX imprint, I would estimate c.1920 or a little earlier.

That hats exactly the type I love to find! So much fun to carry around before and after pictures on the phone. I HAVE worn some as-is to the coffee shop so they and see it all finished later

In 100% mint condition black P & C Habig homburg. I wish this one would fit me, but it's too big for my head even with some corkstrips behind the sweatband. The label says it's a size 60, but i think it's more like 61/62. Beautiful hat nevertheless. So if anyone is interested in this, please pm me.

Ok, so I'm going to need some help with the dating on this one. A Royal Stetson that was clearly kept local (originally sold in St. Louis and bought from a Goodwill there). The pictures below show the hat, the relevant store info from the band and all the markings I could find from inside the hat. Any Stetson experts know when this may have been manufactured? I have seen the thread on the Guerdan Hat Co., but there is no info on when it closed. Thanks for any help I can get with this stunning hat.

Late 1950's based on the blocking tag and $10.95 price (after 1958, up from $10.50 in 1956). Nice hat.

The thing is, that liner screams 60s to me. I think its a replacement.
