Present from a customer . . .

A nice lady whos father was one of our customers here came in yesterday and brought me one of his hats (he recently passed). It doesn't fit me but she said I could have it anyway, and who am I to say no. It is a very interesting Stetson Gun Club that I have never seen before. My gues is it is from some time in the 50's the price which i forgot to take a picture of was 13.50. Anyone have and info on the hat I am curious?

Great hat from a great time when Stetson made theme hats.
Late 50s early 60s would be my guess. It looks rugged just sitting there.

If it was a gift, you might feel funny just selling it. I suggest you trade it for another, then it goes to a enthusiast who will wear it in good health, and you get a different hat for yourself. That is a beaut. Not really my era, but I would probably find something to wear it with just to be able to wear it.

I would bet that would be really in demand here given th4e large size.

Yeah I havent decided what to do with it yet. Trading would be cool if someone had an extra 8 1/8 laying around. We will see.

Well, if you do decide to sell it, I would be interested if the price is right. I don't yet have a hat, and that looks like a fun starter. In any case, it's a lovely gift.:eusa_clap

Why not start a display of vintage hats in your shop?

We barley have enough room for the stuff that we already have. If we had enough room it would be cool to start a little mini museum/educational corner though. Maybe one day.
