Very rare. This piece was custom made of heavy brass (late 1700's or early 1800's) tinder box or snuff/tobacco/pipe oval shape box.
Definitely a true gentleman's piece. Exceptional condition, no blemishes, etc.
Handmade solid heavy brass. Could also be beautiful desk accessory. Would be very handsome engraved for someone special.
