Secret Of The Incas (1954) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047464/

Some say this is the movie that inspired the Indiana Jones character...

This is usually a VERY difficult movie to find, but I lucked out and found it on DVD recently. ;) Charlton Heston played a great rogue... :D

Miss Morris: Most men don't enjoy taking money from women.
Harry Steele: I do. It's the hardest to get, and it smells so good.
Nice catch! I have been looking for a copy for a while.
Spill it, where did you get the copy?..

Bought Matewan with James Earl Jones and Chris Cooper. Set in the 1930's it features some great hats and period clothing.

A "must see" for members of this forum.
I too bought this one a few months ago. A fine film.

It is a really great film, and under rated. It's beautifully shot by Haskell Wexler and for that alone it is worth seeing.

Sayles' other great period masterpiece (sort of) is Eight Men Out. It makes a great companion piece to The Natural.

My recent dvd purchases are True Confessions, Charlie Chan vol 1 and The Busby Berkeley Collection.
