Remembering Lloyd Bentsen

Guess it slipped some of us, I wasn't a big fan of his, but I never knew his background, he desevers better treatment, respect above all, a good honest man.
35 flying missions in WWII, I 'm just sorry I never got to know, read more on him, he server with honor and there are so many like him, all gone.
RIP Mr. Bentsen.

He was my senator while I lived in TX. United Airlines did me a series of mis-deeds, and of all the people I wrote to, he was the only one to take action. He had his staff get right on it, and soon I was receiving letters from the FAA and from United.

Bentsen was one of the old-style statesmen - he wasn't a zealot, and he could compromise. Regardless of what some of his opponents would say about him, we could use a lot more like him on the hill right now.

RIP, Senator.
