Just found out Louisville is getting an H&M store this fall.
About 3 miles from my house.
So part 1 of my vente-privee order came today (I did 3 orders in 3 days).
It was the 1912 Sunset henley and boxer shorts. Very cool. Some of the Sunset stuff comes in really great packaging:
H&M has a new banded collar shirt in 2 different vintage-y striped patterns. They look pretty good, except they have cheap branded buttons. $24.99.
Looks like it was made for you Matt.
My 1940s Boxer sweater arrive today; it came with a cool ticket to a fight at MSG in 1938!
Man you gotta love LVC. My order with that sweater was just shipped today.
Here's a selection of my 8 panel caps...they are all by John Lofgren & Co:
Matt, are those lined ?
Just got my 2 final vente-privee orders today!! I'm so thrilled. It feels like Christmas!
The 1920's wool pants have the boxing ticket too. And my jeans had the correct waist/ length!
FINALLY got my vente-privee orders today! flat-top, I got the 1920s pants too. They fit me like a glove!
They're pretty cool, huh? There is a matching jacket as well that vente-privee didn't have....
Shouldnt they fit you like pants?
Yup, all lined up!
Update on my H&M French Worker jacket. I have been wearing it hard the last little while. I also replaced the buttons with some vintage black cats eye buttons.
Also wearing a Klaxon Howl navy watch cap, Klaxon Howl California Slim 15oz selvedge denim, and some Katahdin Iron Works boots. Sorry for the pissed off look. I was standing in for a light test on a shoot today.
Nice jacket can not wait for H&M to open here.
I wouldn't get your hopes up too high for H&M. They generally produce total ill fitting crap. Occasionally they will let something nice slip through the cracks though. Luckily the things Im into are never the type of stuff their typical customer is into so I usually have no problem finding things in my size.
Article about the French work jacket:
This shirt just came in today at the Klaxon Howl store here in Toronto. Im going to pick one up tomorrow.
Klaxon Howl “Rheem” indigo covert cloth. Chin Strap pullover with vintage Glider zipper.
