This Royal Stetson is midnight blue and is in pristine condition with no signs of wear. The felt has a velour surface that feels like fine velvet. The band is the same material as the hat. The slightly lighter area on the inner edge of the brim is from the velour resting on the rim of a hatbox. A little brushing and maybe a bit of steam should make it disappear. Sorry the photos aren't better, but the midnight blue color and the velvety surface make it really difficult to show details. If you like stingy brims, this is a real beauty.
