Howdy,
I recently acquired an old goatskin jacket. Judging from the details of the pattern, I'm guessing the jacket was probably made in the mid-1930's. The label reads "TOPLINE Men's Wear by Sears Roebuck and Co." Before encountering this label I was under the idiotic impression that from the turn of the century to the 1950's Sears manufactured leather jackets only under the Hercules label.
Just wondering if any of you old catalog colectors out there have any info regarding Topline and the years the label was in use. I was unable to find anything on Google and an email to the official Sears archive has been long unanswered.
Thanks much.
