No kidding? Next thing you know you'll be telling me that Schitt's Creek is a TV show. Can anyone tell me if they recognise the hat that James Coburn wears in a "Fistful of Dynamite?"
A bit late with this reply but Charlie Conerly, quarterback of the NY Giants in the 50's was among the Marlboro men.
Circa 1935..photo postcard....slightly trimmed..From my collection....a "rum bunch"...as the Brits say...noted on the back that the sender had to "perform Surgery" on the card to fit it in an envelope....
Telescopes were popular in the 1860's. The shorter brims look like they copied the larger brim planters hat.
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/echo-canyon-laff-2018-1146393 From "Echo in the Canyon" on Netflix. Roger McGuinn wears a fedora. There's an old clip of Buffalo Springfield with Stephen Stills wearing a cowboy hat. Excellent music from back in the day.
I had the opportunity to play with one enough to know that I'd never buy one to play. I struggle enough with 6 strings.
Roger always had that jangle from the way he strung & tuned it. It was his signature for sure. Same as Neil Young's hammer strum was his. Hard for anyone else to recreate.
It really made their sounds unique. I hadn't listened to some of the older stuff lately, they made some good music back then.
The hat and the angle of the photo makes me think of Samuel L. Jackson as Major Marquis Warren in the Hateful Eight.
Richard "Dick" Burns Participated in the Richmond, Missouri, bank robbery on May 23, 1867. The Richmond posse found Burns sleeping in a farmhouse within two miles of town. He was immediately taken outside and strung up in a convenient elm tree.
I didn't know where the hell else to put this but was compelled to post it. So, um...yeah. https://nypost.com/2019/12/09/pigeons-spotted-wearing-tiny-cowboy-hats-in-vegas/
