Show us your hats

THIS THREAD MERGED WITH THREAD ABOVE

In the vein of the stupendously successful "Show Us Your Suits" series of threads, i start this one in which we can show off our acquisitions. In my opinion it really is beoming cumbersome to have a new thread for every new hat that comes in. These threads generally die after about 15-20 posts. This (i hope) will be a long-running thread in which we can showcase new and interesting purchases. New, vintage, newsboys, fedoras, baseball caps, whatever: they're all welcome. SHOW US YOUR HATS

I begin with my new 30s (?) Mallory homburg - recently acquired from Mark the shoeshine boy. I'm very happy with it: great fit, great condition, nice wide brim (my other homburg is a stingy 60s thing). All around a great hat.

Hi, I'm a new member. Here's my new hat. It's not period, but it's the hat I've been hunting in during muzzleloader season for the past week here in Michigan. A new Stetson Winston. (To replace a 15-yr-old grey one that the kids sat on too many times.) I'm happy they're still making this hat. A tidy winter hat. I wear ear muffs when it's cold---then the set-up is nice down to, what, 10F. (The Woolrich shirtjac and Pendleton shirt under it are vintage.)

It's not just period, it's timeless... they had those wool ones back in the day.

That is just a rad pic.

I have piles though lately i seem to gravitate to my old modern Optimo Graphite. I didn't know the back was down when I had this pic taken.

Same hat as in avatar on the left.

Hello Matt

This is a really cool hat (cool shoes too). :D

Another beauty, DOUGLAS.

This thread will probably become my long-promised "all my vintage hats" thread. This does not discourage others to post their new aquisitions.

I don't think i'll ever get sick of posting this one. alliterative Peach pink Portis:

Dinerman,
I think I recognise your boaters, one looks like the model Worth & Worth sells, the black banded one looks like one I own from cambridge. Are these accurate, or where did you get them?
