I'd wear it.
Wear with a brown shirt and tan sport jacket? :eusa_clap
Or a white shirt and tan sport jacket.
I had a look in a charity shop today that I had never noticed before. Lots of cheap dinner suits (polyester) and not much else. At least I found a couple of ties:
The first is by 'John Collier'. I would guess it is from the 1960s. It's nothing special, but is perfect for when you need a fairly plain red tie:
This one isn't for me. I guess it is from the 1960s. I bought it for my son who recently announced his intention to be a sailor when he leaves school. I thought I would help prepare him by buying an anchor design tie:
^^Nice tie for your son as he prepares for the Royal Navy. Terylene (top tie) was popular during the latter part of the 1950s; interesting fabric.
Just got this a couple of days ago. Bold Look era, nice geometric designs, subtle brocade, feels like 100% rayon, and...it's a Wembley.
Good find! Does it say what color suit you should wear it with?
^^Thanks. No, J., it's a bit too early for that Wembley distinction. I think that it would look good with a navy blue suit, though.
Maybe better with brown or black.
Or with a peach, red or or pink suit.
Hippies and leisure suits exempted here.
Please, Marc, I'm not from that side of the river...
I would say navy blue because the tie is maroon with a light peach...although black might work.
It'll work. Trust me.
I've got this exact same one, too! Very hard-core geometric...
Really? I would never have figured that out by looking at it.
Small world, QB.
