I realize it's a little early for Christmas, but I recently ran across this tie photo that I forgot I had. It's a hand-painted (airbrushed) Santa tie by yours truly. I painted it back in the mid-'90s for display when I worked one Holiday season airbrushing items in a local mall.

Very impressive Matt. Looks like the graphics from one of those old coca-cola ads. Coke had a huge hand in establishing the modern image of ol' St. Nick, beginning in the early 30s.

Very good ties, Dinerman! I think I like them equally.

I've never worn a bow tie. But I saw this vintage handpainted clip on and loved it too much to pass on it. So it will be my first.

That's a nice one. I've been planning to wear clip-on bow ties, as well. I bought a lot of six bow ties, although their patterns are more conservative than yours. Some members here believe that they are of the 1950s or '60s era, rather than 1920s or '30s as in the auction's description.

Found this one at a thrift store this morning. It's got some stains, but it was 99¢.

The label is missing, but it is tissue thin and short and wide, consistent with other 40s/early 50s ties I have. That, and the style of the graphics, would make me suspect it's of that era. Even if it's not, the price was right, and I'll wear it anyway.
