Been scanning old slides and came across this one from 1971 (when I was 11). I remember when I got this tie. I thought the red/black/white paisley combo was rockin'. Sadly it was not in the pile of ties I recently got from my Dad.

Good eye, as it indeed is a Pendleton Topster. This 60’s version takes more deliberate effort to coordinate than the 50’s jackets I have.

I just removed the paper clasp tag this morning before I put on the tie. It has a rampant lion and a T on it. Any ideas on the maker?

Well curated outfit sir. As to the tie manufacturer I can not assist. I do find reading about the Rampant Lion symbol interesting this morning. A Rampant Lion occupied the shield of Royal Arms of Scottish and then English rulers. Curious that the lion must face left standing on one leg ready to strike.

Thanks Matt. It is a pity that they are often hidden. I like cool weather, but don't like being cold, so most often I do wear a sweater, sweater vest or vest during the prime tie wearing season. Today it is supposed to be almost summery, so this Faultless by Wilson Bros. is out in the open.

They do show off better this way. Unfortunately I wasn't going out this summer, so no real opportunity to wear ties. And now that it's winter I'm still not going out, but often wear a tie even if I'm lounging at home. To keep my neck warm if for no other reason. Ha ha.
