Yes, a nice, simple jacket. This has at least three kinds of grain on it. Mis-matched panels and all. But old and cool.

Thank you. The leather on these is not particularly thick, I estimate 3-oz, the jacket weighs 4 lbs. This one is steerhide; I have another one that feels like horse, but cannot be sure. They show up on eBay occasionally, look for the older white Harley Davidson label, generally stay away from the later AMF label. Nice jackets, I call them "poor man's Buco J-100" because they are usually significantly cheaper than Bucos, but slightly different cut (flared) and only one pocket.

Horween Lux. Best way to describe this hide is old school, broken in Vanson Comp weight feel/heft with teacore surface. I suspect it will show browns very, very quickly.

I’m the third owner. It’s a Standard and Strange SB collab using a new to me Horween Lux HH. I put some better pics of up in the jacket o’ the day thread. Really stunning stuff. It’s a wonderful combo of soft and heavy with some gorgeous undertones. I’m an instant fan!
