Stetson Weston

I'm thinking of buying a Stetson Weston, a Milan straw. Anyone have any feedback on this hat?

I've got no experience with the hat, but keep in mind that it's not actually straw. It's either paper, plastic coated paper, or plastic. Real milan is wheat woven into strips, which are then sewn together. It's called milan (pronounced my-lan, with no need for caps) because it was originally produced in Milan. At this point, there is absolutely no restriction on what can be called milan, so the genuine part doesn't mean anything.

As far as I know, the only real wheat straw hat comes from Optimo. However, because the fashionistas of Milan are no longer weaving wheat, Optimo's milan comes from China. Once you've felt real milan, you'll never touch a plastic hat again.

Good to know, Lefty. I just got a teardrop milan from Miller Hats in today. Looks like a pretty good hat. I'll see how this one works out before I buy another milan.
