My daughter had to have open heart surgery at the age of 2 and a half, and again at age 25. Although very frightened for her, I always have had faith that she would get through. And she has.

I've found comfort in wearing my Aero NYPD jacket... when I wear it I feel my police chief grandfather's presence... as if he's protecting me somehow. I know it sounds strange, but at the very least it helps me to stay strong.

I can understand that. I feel the same about both my grandad's. One of them was a very high-up police detective and also flew bombers during the war.
