Yes, I too was very glad to see an example of a Cricket cap, as I also had only seen them in ads, and the Cricket Cap ads are some of the best out there.

You got a great deal on most of those.

In the airing and demothification process. More to come. Includes Cricket, Everest and Elina that I've only seen in ads.

Not sure. It is a bit thicker and stiffer and more coarse than typical with a marked woven texture(almost like denim). May be cotton-its not slick at all.

It does look like denim. Interesting how the old caps had a variety of lining fabrics.

My new Simonds cap arrived yesterday. It is made from the 1950's vintage tweed fabric he recently aquired.
Simonds does great work, the cap is well made and fits me perfectly.
I have no camera but I'll try to get a pic taken to post as soon as I can.

Marvelous cap that, despite the sellers assertions, is true to it's marked size. I will list in the classifieds see if a small headed lounger might be able to wear it.

<smile> yes, 22" was wishful thinking. It is returnable, but too beautiful to return. A small headed chap will turn up.
