Just picked my first cap made by Damien of Monsivais & Co. from Wellema Hat Co. in Altadena. I needed summer cap so I took the plunge and picked up Salt and Pepper chambray and I am not disappointed.

His work is outstanding,imo.

I got home from the office and found my Sterkowski cap waiting for me on my front porch. It was a pleasant surprise as the hat was made to order with a 30 day lead time; so I wasn't expecting it until the first part of August. A week after placing the order, I received notification that it had shipped. Less than a week after receiving the notification that it had shipped, after traveling from Poland, it was on my front porch in Seattle.

I was a little nervous about how It'd look as it is my first 8 panel Gatsby style cap. I think it looks ok. :thumbs up:

I just received one of DamianM's summer chambray caps. This is a very well made cap! The fit is spot on and the leather sweatband is high quality. Nice work on the box design too!

Sterkowski 8 Panel Gatsby Linen Summer Cap arrived!
Fresh from Poland it's a new product line!
My first thought after holding it in my Hands! Nice, very nice. It's a really light weight linen Cap and the inside without a lining but with a nice Mesh fabric. On the rear side we have a small rubberband part for a better fit! The whole work, stitching, fabric, the stiffness of the bill are perfectly made - nothing to complain about! Perfect as ever. [emoji16]
I hope I get some hot Summer days in germany to test it out!
But I am sure its not only for summer for me [emoji16]
