Also found a couple more duplicates for a couple of my favorite WW2 images

Once again I seem to have bought the only one! This one is Stetson Logo Metal Mantle clock!

Im getting a pretty good pile of Stetson silver colored metal logo'd advertising housewares. ( if anyone has a good idea about when they sold these things Im all ears) 12" tall, 11" wide with a 9" clockface. Has a curved glass face that actually made it here intact ( thank you Goodwill for good packing, and thank you fed ex for being gentle with it) Silly thing weighs 10.6 pounds! The Movement access hatch is actually a 1/4" thick machined/ threaded screw on piece... definately not a cheap piece of plastic junk. AND IT RUNS! Just a battery powered quartz movement, but Im thrilled. Trying to decide whether to get the metal polish out or leave the patina as-is.

Now just have to figure where Im going to park it. Really cool!

Have been looking for a particular Stetson "Keep it Under your Stetson" WW2 poster... Thrilled to say I finally found one! Its a 1943 poster print by Edward McKnight Kauffer. Shows the Great Spinx of Giza with a Stetson hat and the wartime " Keep it under your Stetson" slogan. He did lots of Modernist posters for The London Underground, Shell Oil, American Airlines, Great Western Railway, and Stetson. Just finished cutting Mattes and framing it along with a WW2 7th War Bond poster from 1945.. These are bigger than my Saturday Evening Post ads covering much of my wallspace ( and much bigger frames), so now I need to figure out where to hang them

Nice finds, Rick. I'm sure you'll find wall room.

I'd leave the patina as-is, 'cause I like it. Also, it gives some character to an otherwise simple silver clock housing.
I dusted but left it alone. Clock got new batteries and what I believe is an early 70s battery movement only gained a couple minutes over 3 weeks... perfectly usable!
