I'm still skeptical; the Byrds were from 1964-1973 and were basically folk-rock fusion. T-Rex came much later, 1970-1977. They were considered Glam-Rock. I don't think cloning Marc Bolin will.........:eusa_doh:

I have always thought that the skeletal structure is so similar that they just had to be related. Birds lay eggs dinosaurs lay eggs---there just can't be that many coincidences. Next we will find out they were also not cold blooded reptiles.
I am now going to go eat some T-Rex, I mean chicken.

Dinosaurs and birds related? There's a "duh" for ya--I've done intensive study of dino=predator physiology, and a rex's bones scream "REAL BIG bird with even BIGGER bad attitude--be glad it's dead, or you'd be equivalent of a doggy-treat..."

With all due respect,...I don't believe it. None of my uncles were monkeys.
Scientific dogma is as far fetched as much of the religious dogma is.
Science has really no more idea of what happened just 100 years ago, let alone 100 million years ago, than anyone else does. lol

With equal respect; the difference is, Science is willing to change it's mind and update its "dogma" when presented with new facts and evidence. Unlike religious dogmas that are taken on faith even though every objective, evidential fact reputes the dogmatic "beliefs".

That is the difference between Science and Mysticism. As time goes on we'll see theories and postulates proven or discarded as new evidence comes in. In the mean time, religion....well.... God bless 'em!

Let's just hope Scientists are no longer beheaded, poisoned or imprisoned for putting forth provable thesis as has happened throughout history. Remember that next time you see the sun revolving around us, over your head, and disappearing off the edge of the earth! (Aye! There be dragons!!)

Often species, in order to survive dwindling resources, will become smaller if there are no other factors to compel them to evolve in the other direction.

The question I have is, if all dinosaurs we wiped out by asteroids or whatever else, then how does one have a direct genetic link?
