Tonyb, I have a XL Indy goat ordered too. We wear the same size jackets: 46L. If you get yours before me, post some pics.

I called them on Fri 3/30- very nice lady looked and looked, went over
the entire menu, and nuttin' left. Evidently some folks scored big time.
I got a pocket full of lint. Free.

Scotrace-

Delivered at 10am, my large vintage cowhide indy is sitting at home for me right now, chillin'.

My biggest concern is fit; if it doens't fit, I will let you know.

If it does, i may post pics, but not if it makes my butt look big.

I just called 3/30/07 4:22P eastern. They are out of everything in the L - XXXXL range in anything unless you want a lamb A2 in Gimungous.

I don't get it. I just called at 10am Tuesday 4/3 and
they have everything still in stock- more models than
shown on the web page, at least in 2XL.

It sounds from what I was told like they tried out
doing assembly in China, the jackets came back with
imperfections, and they gave up on that and are going
back to American assembly. The Chinese won't take
the jackets back, so they are getting rid of them.
The imperfections, she said, are just little scuffs and such.

I wear a 48-50 in a sportscoat. I figure based on their size
chart that I should get a 2XL. Anyone know different?

Loungers in the Jacket section have some
very negative things to say about US Wings
quality. I guess for $79 it's hard to beat, but
I'd like to hear from folks who have these jackets
before I buy.

Sounds like the pockets ain't great, the zippers
are lousy, and the lining is super cheap. The
leather doesn't sound to be of good quality, either.

Thanks for any personal experience you'd like to post.
It's hard to resist the price, but...

As compared to what, exactly? I've personally never owned a Wings jacket with any of those problems.[huh]

Considering you can't even buy a cheap canvas Wal-Mart jacket at this price, the longer you wait, the less chance you'll have to pick one up at this price as they're swamped with orders I've been told. First come, first served, and once they're gone, that's it.

Regards! Michaelson

Oh no, PLUS ten for geek team work, my wife was checking the UPS tracker as I had meeting in Mnahattan this morning and I live in Pennsylvannia.

I got my update from my wife on my blackberry that my silly jacket was delivered.

Took the email in the meeting. +10 more for putting clothing ahead of career.

HA!

...

Context brother, they are referring to the A-2 versus's higher end and much more expensive recreations.

The same can be said for the Indy versus the Wested Indiana Jones, but c'mon, $80 for a 98% replica or $500+ for a 100% screen replica.

$420+ for 2% better?

Thanks Michaelson

Goat Indy in L on the way. That's all they had in L.

It seems like we'll have a pool of guys here and can do some swapping if we need after try-ons?

Ah. So there are still some selections in the XL size.

I'm in Ohio, so with higher taxes & shipping it came in at $106. Still a decent price for a leather jacket. This'll work for taking Motorcycle classes.

Home yet?

Chance of it making your butt look big is in direct proportion to how late you try on the jacket after it arrives.

It's the Law of Early Arrival/Late Try on/Got Back.

Shipping was $19.95 to me in Florida....So I'll have a $100 in mine...

Good points all, thanks.

Anyone seen the "antique" lamb?
Does it look okay? Phoney antiquing
could look cheezy.

I am leaning towards the G-2.

Indeed it's all about context. $100 (inc shipping) is a complete steal.

As for pricings, the Wested runs to about $325 including shipping to the US at todays rates. ;) $450-500 would be the G&B.

I've got a US Wings A-2 on the way to me via a third party. It's costing me $135 as I've got to get it shipped to him and then to me. Wings wanted to charge $160 for international shipping! :)
