Do you put shoe polish on your jackets? I have wondered about that.
If needed. Nothing wrong with a little shoe polish on a jacket. Work in a light layer, then brush it. It's mostly wax and color.

I agree I just don’t want the leather to crack. Pay close attention around the end of the cuffs and around the collar where the acid from your sweat will dry out the leather and make it crack. Keep that area conditioned with conditioner most of my vintage jackets. I find all have this situation with the cracked leather. In my world, all leather wears, ages, and patinas. The way it looks is supposed to change. My concern is preserving so that it doesn't crack. Keep it moisturized. Oil works fine for me. My leather jackets, pants, and boots get oil, and sometimes a little shoe polish.
Bawheid Australian here, keen to hear which of the Aoudy or RM you'd recommend to condition and light polish a Aero CXLHH?
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. That of course is a "yeah but nah" situation.Bawheid thanks for this. I'll read up on them to see which is most appropriate. I see that Bunnings is selling a leather conditioner now too.
I costed the Aero brand conditioner/polish - 10 pounds per tub, plus 35 pound courier delivery Scotland to Australia!
No personal experience with the quality. I assumed if they sell it and stand by it, it must be high quality and safe for their leathers. If postage wasn't such a $ barrier I'd get some and try it!is the Aero conditioner supposed to be that good? I just bought an Aero jacket. I was planning on using my langlitz on it.
i am going to have to go back about 100 post and work my way forward in this thread. No personal experience with the quality. I assumed if they sell it and stand by it, it must be high quality and safe for their leathers. If postage wasn't such a $ barrier I'd get some and try it!
