Have any of our San Diego Loungers ever been to the Village Hatshop headquarters?

Yeah, I was just there about 2 weeks ago when it was hot. I went to check out their straws. Overall not a very good impression. The people there didn't know too much about hats ("Sir, you can't reblock a straw."). The quality is low end to middle. They did have some good quality Montecristi's (2 in my size), but the ribbon was poor and the sweatband was cloth. Their price was $185.

I bought a cheap Scala, that I was pleased fit my needs for the interim. It was nice and floppy, the brim and crown were perfect for me. But the ribbon was marginal and it came with a cloth sweatband. Their website is done really well, which drew me into their headquarters store. It was way overrated. The sales people really got to me. They just were just not very knowledgable. Just warm bodies to sell you a hat.

I got the same impression of the store they have in Long beach. They don't know what's in the burrito, they just sell it.

The web site has alot of info on hats and alot of variety, that is what I was expecting at the store.
