1. Eat healthier and walk to campus more. Try to lose the holiday pudge!
2. Dress up in skirts and dresses more often. They fit me better and I look cuter in them!
3. Keep up on dying my hair.

Not a resolution I actually made, but the last week, coinciding with New Years, I've been using cold cream and its more helpful than things that are more expensive! :eusa_doh:

Here's to finally beating breakouts in 2009! (I'm 24!)

• Stop picking my fingernails and toes/feet. I have nice nails, but the skin around them is always horrible!
• Be more open minded and adventurous, sartorially - towards the end of last year I got a bit too obsessed with fitting into a perfect early 40s look and was kind of scared to try new looks, which is very silly. You still won't get me in modern stuff though!
• On the same note: Get more late 40s-early 50s vintage as my new man is into fitted jackets and pencil skirts in a big way and it is such a huge confidence boost to know how sexy he finds me in them (shallow, I know!).
• Have facials when I can to help my post-birth control acnefied skin look better.
• Cook more from scratch and eat better generally.

Fleur, you should check out Origins in Covent Garden, they do facials for £10 or £15.

They are fabulous, I adore Origins products :)

I love Origins, but haven't used them in ages.

Well,my New Year's Resolution is to set a weekly goal for myself and you have all inspired me to add some vintage beauty routine goals throughout the process.

I usually set my year goals on my birthday (personal new year and such) but here are a few of mine:

Drop some weight and maintain it.
Eat better
Be more active
Get Christmas shopping done before December
Finish some projects I've been putting off
Learn to sew by jumping right in
Be mindful of my thoughts

Hope everyone has a happy and prosperous new year!!!

I'm sure it's been said before but:

-try to wear vintage as much as humanly possible

-try to be more thrifty/less impulsive with my spending (I'm off to a swell start with that one, haha)

-finish a sewing project at least once a week or two

-master waves with just a comb and clips (tried it last night and it didn't look that bad)

-have a dirndl dress for every day of the week! ;P

-work harder at school. Last semester I slacked off a bit. I did alright still, but I know I can do much better.

-be more social and hang out with friends at least once a week

-think up more resolutions

* pick up my running routine again, hopefully losing a few centimeters along the way (not necessarily weight, just want the floppyness to tighten up ;))
* definitely learn to do vintage hair and get rid of the 'rolls-are-evil' thoughts
* treat my skin better than I have been doing so far (cleanse cleanse cleanse!)
* sew vintage-style clothing (so happy finding this forum, there's so much inspiration!!!)
* actually WEAR the clothes I sew
* whatever else I think of as the year progresses ;)
