Vintage Optimo Panama 7 1/4

Recently bought this Panama and was told it may have been a Borsalino . High weave count and is excellent condition. Its perfect to be resized as its missing a sweat. Brim is at 2 1/2. Crown is about 4 1/4. Nice patina and ribbon is good. Measures 8 x 6 1/2. I have a fabric or leather sweat if anyone wants to install their own

Can the hat crown be re shaped?

I suppose it could but I would leave it as is ,as there isn't alot of crown ht to play with.

Just discovered faint pencil mark indicating this hat is a 1/8 , and that its missing the sweat indicates someone that was a 1/4 was wearing the hat hence the 8x61/2 size that it measures currently .

Can the hat crown be re shaped?

You would have to have the correct straw wood block and flange to attempt such a task.
fur felt wood blocks are different from straw blocks.
