Nice hat Florida............did you sew in by hand?

Yes, I sewed it in with a sewing machine needle and a loop stitch with quilting thread. Once you get it set up, you can move pretty fast with minimum errors. Works great. I've sewn in about 6 the last few years. I'll have to say that the sweat I bought from Bond is the nicest one yet.

A "Western anyone" kind of day. My old Nocona smooth Ostrich, and the really nice old Stetson Rocking JB I got out of the bay. I fedorize most of my westerns. Not this one. Almost pristine old Stetson.

Florida M., Nice looking Stetson. One of those classic Westerns that's too nice to convert.

Thought I'd sport one of my Resistol Stagecoaches. I reblocked the crown on this one and gave it a Center Dent. I also replaced the original and ridiculous looking feathered hat band for this vintage 8 ply ribbon with a simple bow...

Hi I'm new here. I specialize in shaping and aging hats (mostly Western, but some Bowlers and Top Hats. I learned at the movie studio I used to work at), but just recently got into making them from scratch. I made this hat to honor my teacher as it was one of his famous ones ( Curly Bill) and I love the design and how authentic it is. Also, here is a photo of the other hats we made and our teacher Tom Hirt. As you can see by the results, he is a great teacher. I am accumulating equipment to begin making more. My name is Mark BTW. Love all the hats and info on here.
