Stepped out in the Open Road last night. A local jazz group shifts gears every year the night before New Year's Eve and plays a tribute to Hank Williams. I thought it would be a fitting lid for the occasion.

Thanks man! I got it at a place called Rancho Loco in Dallas, maybe around 1991 or 92 while I was living out in Texas. They had all manner of swanky western duds. I don't know if the place is still around, I can't find a website for them. Your best bet might be to search 'vintage H Bar C jacket' on the ebay. They pop up from time to time.

I wore my Gus by Montana Peaks Hats the other day for a few hours, but didn’t post it. Anyway here it is. I rather enjoy the hat but with its four inch brim it is not for the weak of heart! I’d like to get more use from it.

Obrigado, Joao. I think I’m building up more confidence for it. This one was one of my first custom hats and have had it for probably almost ten years. It definitely needs to see more light of day.

I like the breed. Our motely crew are all Foundation stock. That saddle is my wife's, built by Jeremiah Watt, Ca. This one is a light weigh half seat, which is my typical go to rig, built by Jeff Morrow. MT. Horse is one of our two year old's that I am just starting. Nellie is the one that got cut up last year. Healed up now though.

Hey Scott, Bowen! Thanks guys! I should stop in more often. Funny you should ask She's heeled up but won't let me lift that foot yet. I work at it most days for a few minutes. Eventually she'll come around. Been a long haul for me as well but I am back on regular now. Still doing rehab/PT. Seems I don't heal up all that quick these days But sure glad to have turned a corner. regards, Dane

Some hat content?! Might have posted this prior. No new hats since I built this one late last Fall...5.25" brim, 4.5" crown. 100% beaver. Not sure I like it all that much. Might have gone a little too far on the sizing and shape for my head. Surely does keep the sun out of your eyes though
