My second Dorer’s hat. It’s not my favorite style, but it’s a well-made hat. This one is marked “Pure Beaver.” It’s only a 7 1/4 so it’s on the block. My current question is if I should have it professionally cleaned or sell it as is…?

If I ever get to travel again Montana is at the top of my list and a visit to Rands and a possible hat order. What is your review of their hats? Do you know whos felts they use?

Thanks for the comment & concerns but this hat was custom made for me coming up on 33 yrs ago. It's been worn on jobsites in country & out, on airplanes, etc. This hat could tell some stories. Setting it on its brim for pictures has done no damage whatsoever. I think it has aged very well.

And besides we used to be told on here that hats are just objects & property, so do whatever you like with them..

Thank you Mr. Brown. RJ Preston's, sombrero and ear flaps. He's in Fay OK. Kinda funny really. Temps at -0- for a week and a 6" of snow on the ground. Then the wind came up and a Chinook came in. It started to rain. I went to feed around midnight. Photo is the result. Just luck of the draw.
