Dry spell

I know its been a while for me. It's been really busy. Fortunate to have a very, very good holiday season at the shop, and now that law school is back in, I'm there a lot too.

That said, please excuse the pictures -- they were taken while I was in class :D .

Friday, Jan 11 was a blue blazer day:
Blue Blazer (requisite in Charleston) by 319 Men
Pink gingham shirt by Polo Ralph Lauren
Pink solid twill tie by Charleston Bows
Tan color worsted odd trouser, my signature box pleat style (not pictured)
Brown suede loafers (not pictured)
Unshaven sprezzatura ;)

Today, Monday, Jan 14:

Yak hair sport coat, tan & brown checked by 319 Men
Light yellow shirt with 007 style turn backs
Copper/Burnt Orange satin solid tie by Charleston Bows
Chino color, worsted odd trouser, my signature box pleat style (not well pictured, but seen before)
Burnt Orange socks, compliment the tie :p
Suede & polished calf skin wing tip shoes by Moreschi (just picked 'em up)

I adore this look Ruby, you look great--I love the sleeves on the blouse especially. I used to have a grey wool jumper from the 50's that I wore to death in college that looked really similar to the one you're wearing here. Is this Simplicity 3673 by any chance?

Criminy, that's a fantastic suit! Split jacket cuffs with buttons?! Vents on the trousers? I don't think I've ever seen that before in menswear--it's fabulous (and, heck, I want a ladies version of that jacket with those cuffs). The orange and grey combination is great too.

You must do a website and soon; you'll be overrun with orders.

Thank you Imoldfashioned. I could see a Ladies version out of a striped fabric. Let's hope that when the Website is up that we will be overrun with orders :D . Speaking of Imoldfashioned, when are we going to see more of your delightful outfits again. I need an Imoldfashioned fix.

A ladies suit with those cuffs in a stripe would be fabulous! Vintage buttons, perhaps? I'm trying to schedule a trip to MN this spring and one of the things I'm most looking forward to is seeing your shop in person!

You're too kind about my outfits. I've been traveling for work lately so not much time for pictures. I'm cooking up a couple--pictures of those to follow soon, hopefully.

Hey Marty,

I haven't posted much, but I've been reading this thread and love your posts and pictures. This one was interesting because I attended the Custom Tailors and Designers Convention in the early 90's. Looks like they are still using the same stage.

Anyway, I had a real good time there and your pictures brought back some memories. As soon as I get the picture thing figured out, I'll join in.

Keep up the great posting!

Cheers,

Kevin
