Finally ... an acceptably clear photo of my tuxedo getup! (I promise it'll be the last one.)

You look great in your tuxedo, the only thing you need (imo) is a top hat, to "top" it off :p

Floey and Marc, wondeful photos!

I'd love to see you guys taking a few vintage snaps downtown at the Royal Hawaiin and the Moana Surfrider etc
Thanks Cookie!
I've posted a few there over the years, rather than repost photos I'll give you a couple of links to earlier posts we did at a diplomatic ball:

Hello everyone,
after having been gone for quite some time yet again:
This was me yesterday... Having kind of a bad picture taking-day. ( iPhone 2G and webcam are clearly not my friends)
I'm wearing Heyday Clothings “Mary” dress, which I got in a sale ( The factory produced the dresses 1/2 size too big/small- perfect for me who's in between sizes! Woo! ). My hair isn't long enough for the 40s styles this dress would've called for, so I had to improvise a bit and went for a late 40s/early new look crossover feel. My red Remixes with bow would've been perfect with this dress, but peep toes seemed a bit inappropriate to me given the time of the year, even though it hasn't been a very cold december here.

Since I haven't found vintage glasses that suit me yet (and didn't want to spend the evening with a headache), I had to stick to my modern frames. Also, I just couldn't resist these glittery christmas tree ball earrings!

And of course I had to wear my red-seamed stockings.

Thanks!
And: I have, but I shouldn't buy glasses online... I've got quite the collection of glasses I ordered that didn't fit but were too pretty to send back! ;)

Ha! I have some ebay "bargain" clothes like that! Shuron will send you a few sizes to try, though... ;-)

A cool but fairly dry Christmas in Asheville with some overcast - a nice old Peterson pipe full of Balkan Mixture after dinner (on the porch - the Missus has very definite views on smoking in the house) - Harris Tweed suit & cap, 1940's hand knit sweater vest, 1930's Wembley foulard tie, dark brown cap-toed Richman Brothers shoes, and thick woolen socks.

Here are two pictures of my sweetie and me.

The first is doing some Christmas shopping on Santana Row, in San Jose, CA. In this one, I'm wearing a 1950s Borsalino (from lounger Garrett), a thrift store found suit (probably from the 1980s), an un-labeled tie of unknown age, a modern Brooks Brothers shirt, and brown Church's Cape Buck Brogues (from lounger Cookie). Christina is in all modern, except for the vintage fur.

The second is from after a nice Christmas brunch yesterday at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, CA. I'm wearing a 1950s Adam Executive, a modern Zegna shirt, a vintage tie (from lounger Resort805), a vintage suit (likely 1940s and of a fabric Marc Chevalier describes as "granite cloth"), and modern Magnanni spectators (I know it's not spectator season, but they seemed appropriate on Christmas day). Christina is in modern clothes.
